Using the Proximity Sensor

All of Vision’s newer engraving machines come standard with an internal proximity sensing device. This sensor eliminates the need to set your surface before zeroing your cutter. The Proximity Sensor is used for engraving with a nosecone or a diamond drag adaptor. It cannot be used with a process that takes multiple passes to achieve your desired depth.

How to use the Proximity Sensor:

  1. Be sure the proximity switch is set to the “on” position in Vision PRO and on your controller
  2. Zero the cutter in the spindle and set your desired depth with the micrometer
  3. Send your engraving job from Vision PRO to your controller
  4. Press “start” on the controller to begin engraving
