You should lightly lubricate all three lead screws on your Vision Engraver or Router each month. You should only use a silicone lubricant spray on the lead screws. Using another type of lubricant may become sticky and cause a buildup that could lead to mechanical failure. Simply spray a light coating along the entire screw. A nozzle extender attached to the aerosol spray helps, and may eliminate the need to remove the metal covers on your engraving machine.
Do not lubricate the spindle, spindle bearings, or X Y stepper motors. Call Vision if you suspect a problem; further lubrication on these parts could harm your engraving machine.
